Description
This position will be filled at one of the following levels depending upon the candidate's qualifications:
Associate HVAC Technician ($24.28 - $33.89)
Assists with installation, startup, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and servicing HVAC equipment commonly found in a wastewater treatment plant. Reports to the HVAC Supervisor and may take direction from senior HVAC personnel.
HVAC Technician ($26.23 - $36.59)
Performs installation, startup, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and servicing HVAC equipment commonly found in a wastewater treatment plant. Reports to the HVAC Supervisor and may take direction from senior HVAC personnel.
Senior HVAC Technician ($30.60 - $42.68)
The Senior HVAC Technician is responsible for the installation, start-up, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and servicing of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems that carry water, steam, chemicals, compressed air, liquid gases, or fuel used in a wastewater treatment plant. Reports to the HVAC Supervisor.

Operation of hand and power tools
General office processes and procedures
Windows operating systems, MS Outlook, Word, Excel
Skilled at:
Taking direction on work tasks
Working in a team environment
Ability to:
Follow policies and procedures
Perform work in extreme environments with varying weather conditions
Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
Education
Graduation from high school or GED. Valid Driver’s License.
HVAC Technician
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of:
HVAC Maintenance and Installation
General office processes and procedures
Safety practices in an industrial environment
Knowledge of electronic theory, circuits, components, and material properties.
Windows operating systems, MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
Skilled at:
Basic HVAC maintenance and repair
Building Automation Systems (BAS)
Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
Taking direction on work tasks
Working in a team environment
Ability to:
Follow policies and procedures
Perform work in extreme environments with varying weather conditions
Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
Source needed parts for HVAC equipment
Operate lifting equipment such as boom and scissor lifts.
Work on-call shifts as needed
Education
Graduation from high school or GED. Valid Driver’s License.
Senior HVAC Technician
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of:
HVAC Maintenance and Installation
Building Automation Systems (BAS)
General office processes and procedures
Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Safety practices in an industrial environment
Knowledge of electronic theory, circuits, components, and material properties.
Windows operating systems, MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
Skilled at:
Performing HVAC maintenance and installations in an industrial environment.
The use of materials, tools, parts, and equipment commonly used to maintain HVAC systems.
Operation and maintenance of chilled and hot water systems.
Industrial/Commercial HVAC Control Systems.
Ability to:
Perform work in extreme environments with varying weather conditions
Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form
Work independently and in a team environment
Identify problems, craft effective solutions, demonstrate good judgement.
Source needed parts for HVAC equipment
Operate lifting equipment such as boom and scissor lifts.
Work varying shifts to meet business needs.
Assist in the training and development of HVAC technicians.
Education
Graduation from high school or GED. Valid Driver’s License. CFC (EPA 608) certification. Boom and Scissor lift certification.
