HVAC Service Technician in a Nutshell

The HVAC service technician’s role is to provide excellent customer service while providing maintenance and repairs on a variety of both residential and light commercial air conditioning and heating systems. 

What You'll Be Doing

• Inspect, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot HVAC systems and equipment
• Diagnose and repair system issues
• Clean, adjust, and repair systems
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
• Installation of system accessories such as thermostats, whole house air purifiers and start assists
• Perform preventative equipment maintenance and warranty services as needed
• Identify maintenance risks on equipment
• Promote and offer system accessories and services that will help keep the systems in top working order
• Conduct performance tests and adjust systems settings accordingly
• Offer and promote the benefits system maintenance contracts to the homeowner
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment on the vehicle

Work Schedule

• Full-time - Monday through Friday
• 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (must be flexible to customer needs and length of job)

Requirements

What We're Looking For

• A minimum of 1 year of previous HVAC service tech experience
• NATE certified
• CFC universal qualified
• R-22 and R-410 certified
• Must be able to lift/move a minimum of 100lbs
• Ability to use basic hand tools, meters, and other hand-held electronic devices
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in the elements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid driver's license and insurable driving record
